About the Warriors
Massasoit qualified for the Region 21 Tournament as the seven of eight seeds by playing some nail biters down the final stretch of the regular season.
The final four games for Massasoit were decided by just a total of 13 points – including the final three contests by two points each.
Offensively, Massasoit is led by freshman guard Amari Andrew-Brown who averages 26.4 points per game, ranking second in the region. He posted five games of 30-plus points, including a 43-point effort against Holyoke earlier in the year.
Andrew-Brown's backcourt teammate, fellow freshman guard Alex Morrison, nets 13.5 points and 4.1 assists per game and has heated up for the Warriors down the stretch. Over the last six games, Morrison is scoring 17.1ppg and shooting 46.1 percent from 3-point range (24 for 52).
In the post, Massasoit forward Dani Ruiz-Martinez has filled up the box score in a variety of categories in his first go-around with the Warriors. He is averaging 5.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.0 blocks per game.
Massasoit is averaging 71.1 ppg for the season, but has slowed down the offense in the second semester. The Warriors are netting 62.6 points per game over the final five contests
About the Granite
Quincy is riding a nine-game win streak into tournament action to earn the No. 2 seed. The Granite has not lost a game since falling to Roxbury back on January 20th and is 11-2 in the second semester.
The Granite averages 75.4 ppg as a team, with four players accounting for 56.9 of the team's point total. Doug Alves tops Quincy with 16.3ppg, followed by Damani Scott-Hankerson (15.3ppg).

Quincy won both meetings during the season, earning an 88-83 home victory on Dec 11, and picked up a 53-46 victory on February 10th.
