BROCKTON, Mass. ---- Anya Welch-Batstone (Avon) netted five goals as the Massasoit women's soccer team blanked Bunker Hill, 8-0, at Warrior Field.
The Warriors built up a commanding 5-0 halftime lead, as Welch-Batstone posted a hattrick by intermission.
Dineida Gomes and Felisberta Tavares, both from Brockton, and Rachel Connell of Bridgewater each added goals in the victory.
Taveres and Gisele Digirolamo (Dedham) combined on the shutout making three total saves.
The Warriors travel to CCRI on Wednesday.
