Baston Captures NJCAA & USC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week Honors
For the week of Oct. 1-7, Massasoit’s Samantha Baston was named both the NJCAA Division III and United States Coaches Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for her excellence on the soccer field for the Warriors.
BROCKTON, Mass. ---- For the week of Oct. 1-7, Massasoit's Samantha Baston was named both the NJCAA Division III and United States Coaches Women's Soccer Player of the Week for her excellence on the soccer field for the Warriors.
Baston, a freshman from Carver, produced a standout week, finishing with nine goals and nine assists for a total of 27 points. Over that stretch, Massasoit posted a 3-1 record as the first-year midfielder scored at least one goal in all four contests.
Against Bunker Hill, Baston was involved in eight of the team's 10 goals, netting a career-high five goals and dishing out three assists in the victory.
