Women’s Soccer Shuts Out Springfield Tech, 2-0
The Massasoit women’s soccer team used two first half goals off the foot of Shelby Sprague (Brockton) to defeat Springfield Tech CC, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon at Warrior Field.

BROCKTON, Mass. ---- The Massasoit women's soccer team used two first half goals off the foot of Shelby Sprague (Brockton) to defeat Springfield Tech CC, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon at Warrior Field.
Massasoit (3-4) scored its first goal in the eighth minute of action when Tati Dias (Brockton) served a pass into the box where Sprague was there to connect.
Later in the half, a foul was called on STCC in the box, allowing Sprague to fire a penalty kick home to take the 2-0 lead.
The Warriors finished with 24 total shots, as STCC was held without a shot for the game.
Kelly Cronin (Weymouth) earned the shutout without having to make a save.
Massasoit travels to Bunker Hill on Monday for a 4 PM match.
